Alerts are server-generated warning messages derived from system events, tagged with a severity as they occur. They surface in Monitor → Alerts and on the dashboard's Alerts widget (which shows active, unacknowledged alerts needing action). To deliver alerts by email, configure notifications.
Severities
| Severity | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Information | Informational only. |
| Warning | Take precautionary measures. |
| Error | Requires user attention to address the issue. |
| Critical | Requires immediate user attention. |
Alert list
Each alert row shows:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | Headline or short description of the alert. |
| Severity | Condition at which the alert was generated. |
| Created | Date and time the alert was generated. |
| Last updated | When the server last checked the alert. |
| Status | Symbol representing the severity. |
Filter the list by Title, Severity, or Status (acknowledged / unacknowledged).
Alert detail
Click an alert's title or status to open the detail window:
- Info tab — severity, event type, description, created/updated timestamps, occurrence count (how often the alert has fired), and the acknowledge message.
- Associated Event tab — the underlying event: event ID, level, topic, date, event type, description, and acknowledge message.
Acknowledgement and actions
Some alerts offer a system-generated action; others only need acknowledgement. Certain alerts mandate user action to resolve the underlying issue. Once acknowledged or actioned, the alert's status changes and it leaves the dashboard's active-alerts widget.
